Before this year finally ends, settle down, with your pen and paper, and think of how you want 2017 to look like. How much would you want to earn? How many real estate investments would you want to have? Would you want to go on vacation and where? Would you be getting married? What kind of wedding do you want? When will it happen? Do you want a car? What kind of car and when do you want to buy it? Describe to yourself, ON PAPER, the things you would want to see
Don’t let what they are saying about the economy determine the things you write. Write as if you have no limitations whatsoever, because there are really no limitations except the ones we place on ourselves.
Then write down what you must do to create that future. Nothing goes for nothing. For every effect, there is a cause. Focus on the things you have control over. Don’t set goals based on things you have little or no control over. For instance, don’t plan your income based on a job you hope to have. There is something you already have that you need to apply in an innovative way. There is a skill or knowledge you already have that when innovatively applied can deliver to you your income goal. If you haven’t read ‘Acres of Diamonds’, get it and read. You are probably standing on an acre of diamond now.
Turn on your laptop, launch excel and create a budget and strategy document for 2017. If you don’t know how to create such a document, don’t worry, I’ll do a follow up post to this where I’ll provide a link where you can download a template. Be meticulous about what you want and how to get it. Stop wishing for things. You need to do this before 31st of December so you can have clear prayer requests for the cross over night. To be continued.
