Tuesday, the 11th day of April will be engraved on the stone of achievements and will resound in history, for the epoch-making flag-off of the cargo airport sited at Umueri, Anambra East LGA by His Excellency, Governor Willie M Obiano (Akpokuedike Global). In its usual style of partnership with good governace, development and productivity, the Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra state Chapter were to felicitate with the Executive Governor on yet another giant stride towards the infrastructural and human capacity development of the state.
In a short tete-a-tete with its leader, Comr Chibuzor Okaa, the Governor expressed his delight and commended the council executives while acknowledging their efforts and participation in state activities which has evidently pronounced a direction towards the sustenance of peace and the development of the youths of Anambra extraction.
Such commendations were also ladened in the words from the state Directors of the Department of State Security(DSS) and the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) when the party of Council executives made a call to their offices on courtesy visit the preceeding day, Monday, 10th April 2017.
The agency heads in the state pledged their solidarity towards the peace-minded committee and pleaded they ensure the consideration of frayed nerves in all decisions as to ensure the sustenance of peace. The state director DSS used the avenue to avail the leadership of a direct communication channel and urged them to reach out whenever rascality need be dealt with to avoid confrontations culminating to breakdown of law and order.
