Eden Hazard dropped biggest hint
den Hazard has dropped his biggest hint yet that he is ready to reject interest from Real Madrid and stay at Chelsea despite ongoing interest from the European champions.
The Belgian is believed to be on Zinedine Zidane’s summer shortlist alongside Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe with Hazard previously saying he would ‘listen’ to an offer from his idol.
But having lifted his second Premier League title at Stamford Bridge, Hazard says he has already set his sights on a third and insisted he is ‘very happy’ at what he believes is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official magazine, he said: ‘Hopefully next year it is the same, we win the League and then I win Player of the Year.Obviously winning the League is what we want most and the award is just a bonus.
‘We started this season well and we won the League, but next year we have to work as hard as we have this season. We have to be ready every year at the same level to stay at the top.

‘I’ve been here for five years now and I’m so happy.
I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, so I’m very happy to play for such a big club like this.
‘After five years I know everything about the club. Even if I’m still only 26, I have a lot of experience now.
‘I started playing at 16 in France so I’ve been professional for 10 years. In terms of games and experience, I’m one of the oldest ones. I like this club because it’s like a family. I have a lot of friends and we all talk to each other.’
Zidane has been a long-term admirer of Hazard, and Real Madrid have certainly shown an appetite for signing big-name stars in the past.But after winning back-to-back Champions League titles as well as La Liga, Sportsmail understands the desire for a huge signing has quelled somewhat through fears that it may disrupt the team.

There is also a growing emphasis on nurturing young stars and Marco Asensio is seen as potentially one of Spanish football’s next big stars.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have been preparing a new mega-contract for their star winger, believed to be worth £300,000-a-week, which will make him the top earner in the Premier League.
